League Info:
In the Rookie league, a modified set of Minor league rules are used. For the first third of the season, the coaches pitch. During the next third, the coaches and players split pitching, and during the final third, players pitch exclusively. Batters do not use a tee, and when adults are pitching, can strikeout or hit. When players pitch, batters can strikeout, walk, etc. Rules are in place to rotate players defensively and to encourage more kids to try pitching. Soft safety baseballs are used.
